“When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways he had compassion and did not bring upon them the destruction he had threatened.”   Jonah 3:10

Rev. Banks continued his series “The Journey: Has Meaning” with scripture text taken from Jonah 3.  David said sometimes we all do things that we just don’t want to do.  This is the case for Jonah for he really did not want to go to Nineveh and he really didn’t like the people that lived there.  God’s ways are not Jonah’s ways and I believe this is something each of us need to remember.  Bring to mind someone or some group of people whom you resent or just don’t like and just remember that you should not be wearing Jonah’s shoes.
