“When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.”  Luke 1:41
This was the first Sunday of Advent and Rev. Banks message titled “The Miracles of Christmas: Hope” with scripture text taken from Luke 1.  The season of Hope is an exciting time for the waiting for all the miracles that happen at Christmas time. Just as we had our Live Nativity this past Saturday and all the folks that came to hear the story of Jesus birth and seeing Mary, Joseph and Jesus in the manager was such a wonderful event. The children enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies.
This coming week on Wednesday the Winds of the Spirit Prayer team meet at 8:30 and then at 10:00 a.m. our Advent Study. At 6:00 p.m. Service of Remembrance in the sanctuary where you can light a candle in memory of your loved one.  The meditation will be delivered by Mary Slankster, Ed.D. The service is open to everyone, so feel free to invite friends and family members.
Thursday we go to the nursing home at 10:00 a.m.
Happy birthday to Ernest Bailey, Nolan House and Mary White
Prayers for Bill & Donna Harder, Sandra Farr family, Charles Durr.
Have a wonderful week and reach out to someone and share the love of Jesus.
