Emory Methodist Church News from Sunday

“So the word of God spread.  The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.”  Act 6:7

Rev. Banks message titled “The Promise in Practice: The problem with plenty,” with scripture text taken from Acts 6.  It seemed as the church grew and new needs appeared.  The Apostles could have seen this as a problem, but instead they recognized it as an opportunity.   What seemed as a challenge became a sign that God was still at work among them.  David said we need to step out of the box and as workers for God’s Kingdom let us offer our gifts, our time, our prayers, and our service with willing hearts.

Coming up this Thursday we go to Emory Hlth & Rehab Outreach and visit with our friends.

For Father Day we took gifts of goodies to each father in the home.  Different businesses donated hats and shirts.

Happy anniversary to Ernest & Mary Bailey and Josh & Jari Ann Rabb.

Prayers for Kenneth Neinast, Doris Wilson.

Have a wonderful fun filled week and be Kind.
