” What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it. It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground.  Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all plants.  Mark 4:30-32a
 
Rev. Banks message titled Walking In The Promise: “The Ministry of Small” with scripture text taken from Mark 4.  David talked about George Washington Carver and how at eight years old he had his own garden.  He loved the soil.  Later he influence the farmers on how to plant crops like peanuts, sweet potatoes and soybeans and he taught crop rotation to improve the soil.  The parable about the mustard seed teaches us while the farmer sleeps God is at work.
 
Monday the 10th the Widow/Widower’s Mtg @ Sidekicks at 10:00 am.  
 
We will have game night on the Friday 14th at 5 pm and everyone is welcome.
 
Happy birthday Joan Thomas and Happy Anniversary to Reggie & Dorothy Riddle.
