“He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.  Whatever he does prospers.”  Psalm 1:3

 

Rev. Banks continued his series on Walking in the Promise: with message titled “Where God Has Planted You” and the scripture text taken from Psalm 1.

 

David spoke about going back to where he grew up and how things have changed, but not the special tree that he climbed and so enjoyed.  Something so special about that tree and how it takes him back to his childhood   A tree grows strong because its roots reach toward the water.  The practice of reading divine scripture is a way that we become rooted in the word.  How strong are your roots?  Are you planting yourself by streams of water?  What are those streams?

 

We go back to the Emory Health & Rehab this Thursday, September 3rd and visit once again with our friends there.  

 

Saturday, September 9th our youth go to Gilmer for a Conference Youth Rally.
