“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and exhorting one another with all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, all with grace in your hearts to God. And whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” – Colossians 3:16-17, NET

It’s easy to be on your best behavior or exhibit your best manners when all is going well, however the real test of character is when we’re under pressure. How do you handle life when you are being squeezed?

What A Squeeze Reveals
Jesus, when he was being tortured, said about his torturers: ‘Father, forgive them. They don’t know what they’re doing.’ Even through his death, Jesus bears witness to his character.
“Whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him,” so we might reveal something greater than ourselves to the world.
Our Fruit
In the end, who we are and what we are made of will be revealed, it is only a matter of time. Cultivate your character, your spirit, and your faith, as these will remain by your side when everything else is gone. Jesus, in the midst of tears, pain, and disappointment, asked for forgiveness-OURS. It is Who He Is.
