“Rejoice in the Lord always. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”   Philippians 4:6

On Sunday Dr. Banks continued his sermon series “Are you…Content” with scripture text taken from Philippians 4.  David spoke about John Steinbeck’s book on “The Winter of Our Discontent” and Shakespeare’s  Richard III to draw us into how discontent can surface . We all go through season’s of discontentment and we all have aches and pains as we get older, but as scripture tells us we can do all things through Him who strengthen and walks with us.  This is why it is so important to understand who God is and who we are to Him, through scripture.  Don’t let circumstances decide who we are or what we are about, but rather God’s call upon our life sets a path before us.

Looking ahead next Sunday we have a guest speaker from The Methodist Children’s Home in Waco.  After the service, Kristi Pereira  will be available to meet and answer any questions that we may have.  A light lunch will be served by the Methodist Women.

AA Meeting every Tuesday & Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and every Saturday at noon.

Prayers for Jay Manning Frances Muchmore, Linda Clark, Fred Worley, Doris Wilson.

Have a great week and don’t forget Be Kind.
