“And God said to Moses, “I AM Who I AM.” And He said This is what you are say to say the children of Israel “I AM has sent me to you.”  Exodus 3:14

Rev. Banks continued the final lesson on the series What Are We Doing Here? with message titled To Celebrate Who God Is and our scripture text taken from Exodus 3.  David spoke about why Christians are called to celebrate who God is and how this celebration reflects living faithfully.  The New Testament teaches that celebration of God is not limited to specific events or festivals but is meant to be a way of life. We did celebrate Floyd Green being back in church after being ill and in rehab for a while. We celebrated Holy Communion and after worship we had a great lunch with Mississippi pot roast and all the trimmings.  Great day of worship.

The youth car wash in our parking lot on Saturday was a great success and we thank everyone who supported the youth fund raiser.

Coming up  October 14th the Widow/Widower’s Meeting at 10:00 a.m. and then on the Friday the 18th the Methodist Women will have Game Night Fundraiser from 5 to 7:00 p.m. come and join in the fun and fellowship. We will have bingo, dominoes, card games and snacks.

AA Meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday at noon.

Prayers for Trudi Adams, Sherry Zirges, Cheyenne Goodwin.

Happy birthday to Margaret Ann McNear.

Have a great week and celebrate who God is. Be kind and give someone a smile.
