“One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.  He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah.”   John 1:40

 

This Fifth Sunday of Lent had Rev. Banks speaking about Andrew meeting Jesus.  David’s message “On the way to the Cross” with scripture text taken from John 1.  Andrew being the first to follow, but not called first.  It seems he was called fourth.  The two seekers ask Jesus where he was staying.  Jesus says, come and you will see.  It was an invitation to His lodgings and into discipleship with Him.

As Jesus is on His journey to the cross, let us truly see and understand the events of this Holy Week, let us worship our God who shares His majesty and glory with us.

 

The Youth Car was cancelled last Saturday and will be this coming Saturday from 9-1:00pm on the church parking lot. 

 

Maundy Thursday Service at 6:00 pm and the community is welcome.
