Emory Methodist Church News from Sunday

“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ Jesus.  Philippians 1:9-10

Rev. Banks continued his series “Follow Me” message titled “Walking in His cadence” with scripture text taken from Philippians.  In this letter Paul warmly and joyfully expresses the confidence that God will complete the work of faith in those who are in Christ Jesus.  What a great day of worship with the congregation having a Pastor Appreciation Luncheon.  As always our pot luck lunches are the best with a wide variety of food and desserts.  Betsy Neinast made her Mississippi Pot Roast that is one of Pastor David’s favorite and of course May Beth McMahan pies are the best.

Our Communion offering this month is for Angel Tree.  We get to adopt these little “angels” and give them gifts that they might not have had for Christmas.

Happy birthday Ann Brown, Carolyn Roland and very happy 100th to Nicky Kraft.

Prayer for Lynn Baldwin family, Robert Cain, Bessie Neff.

This is a wonderful time of year with the cooler air in the mornings and I can sit on my front porch and enjoy God’s creation.  Have a great week and be kind.
