“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”   Proverbs 1:7

Rev. Banks wonderful message this day of worship came from Proverbs and was titled “Facing Life With Wisdom”.  David told  a story about a man who was in a bad storm and would not leave his house.  He kept saying God will take care of me.   During the storm the man kept turning down individuals who were there to help.  He kept saying God will take care of me I’m staying right here in my home. Well he drown and when he got to the Gate and saw St. Peter he said I have a bone to pick with the Lord. St. Peter said He sent you several different way to be saved, but you refused.  I don’t believe I would bother God with this. Making wise decisions isn’t always easy, but if we listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit it becomes a source of insight and delight.
