Rev. Banks continued his Christmas series “The Promise of Christmas” titled The Promise of Joy, with scripture text taken from Malachi. Last week we lit our advent candle of Hope and this week we light the candle of Christ our Joy.  May the joyful promise of Your presence, O God, make us rejoice in our hope of Salvation.  O come, O come, Emmanuel.
 
Our communion offering for December is for Ronald McDonald House Charities.  This is a mission to provide essential services that strengthen families and remove barriers when children need healthcare.
 
Our Live Nativity program was cancelled due to rain.  We are trying to reschedule December 14th at 6:00 p.m.
 
Our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be at 6:00 p.m. The community is invited.
 
AA Meetings in Fellowship Hall every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and every Saturday at 12:00 noon.
 
Happy birthday to Myland Franklin and J. C. White.
 
Prayer for Dorothy Riddle, Mary Willis, Angie Williams.
