Emory Methodist Church News from Sunday
 
“He said to them, You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your hearts.  What is highly valued among men is detectable in God’s sight.  Luke 16:15
 
Rev. Banks continued his series “Follow Me” titled Courage For The Long Haul with scripture text taken from Luke 16.  In this scripture text we are encouraged to be trustworthy with God’s true riches.  We are to be responsible for outcomes, not just show up and must be willing to sacrifice our comfort for someone else’s good.  We must have the courage to serve, so check your heart daily and that will keep you faithful for the Long Haul.
 
Thursday the 6th we go to the Emory Hlth & Rehab Outreach at 10:00 a.m.  We so enjoy visiting with those wonderful folks.  We sing and praise the Lord for His Love.  
 
Next Sunday we will serve the Veterans breakfast before morning worship to thank them for their service and for their love of our Country.
 
Our Communion offering for November is Rains County Good Samaritans and we all know what a great service they do for people living in Rains County.  
 
Our Christmas Shoe Boxes go out today and the Emory Baptist Church gracefully let’s us send them with theirs. 
 
Happy Anniversary to Billy and Marlene Morris.  
 
Prayers for Dee Fleming, Sue Caruana, Mickey Cooper, Dorothy Riddle, Bobby Phillips, Rocky Pietila, Robert Cain Family.
