Emory Methodist Church News from Sunday
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” Isaiah 6:8
Our First Sunday of Advent with Lori Thomas telling us about her mission trip to Columbia and her message was titled “The Footprints of Hope” with her scripture text taken from Isaiah 6:8. Lori showed us pictures of how folks live in this area. Lori and her mission group gave medical aid and a lot of fellowship. The Mission field is open to all of us that would like to be God’s servants and if you choose to act on this, end your prayer with “Send me!”.
Our prayer group goes to Emory Health & Rehab Outreach Thursday, December 4th at 10:00 a.m. to visit with the wonderful folks there.
Friday our Live Nativity Play at 6:15 pm across from the courthouse square, come and see the story of Jesus’ birth.
Happy birthday to Jari Ann Rabb, Judy Claunch, Mary White, Nolan House.
Prayers for Wanda Yarborough, Vickie Cooney, Sydney Wilcox, April English.
Have a great December and remember the reason for the Season!
