Emory Methodist Church News from Sunday

“Jesus said to her, “Mary.”  She turned toward Him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni” (which means Teacher).  John 20:16

What a great day of worship with “Easter Sonrise Service” at 7:00 am and then a wonderful breakfast.  In our regular worship Rev. Banks continues his series The Word Lives message titled “God’s Promise Cannot Die” with scripture text taken from John 20.  Mary was weeping until Jesus said her name.  Jesus, the risen One, knows you name too. Listen and be still and you will know what it means for you to hear Jesus call your name.  The Word lives, Jesus is alive indeed!

Coming up this week we have game night Friday at 5:00 pm.  Bring a snack and your favorite game and enjoy real fellowship.

Methodist Women have their annual plant sale Saturday the 11th from 9:00 to 1:00 and Sunday the 12th from Noon to 3:00 pm.

AA Meetings in the fellowship hall every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 pm.

Prayers for Kenneth Neinast, James McMahan, Bill Manning, Jessie Carpenter, the family of Mary Cash.

Have a wonderful week and don’t forget Be Kind!
