Emory Methodist Church News

“Jesus said to her, Mary.”  She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, Rabboni!” (which means Teacher).  John 20:16

What a glorious Easter Sunday with Rev. Banks finishing his series On the way to the cross titled My Life Changed Forever.  The scripture text came from John 20.  The SonRise Service started at 7:00 a.m. and even though we didn’t have rain we met in the fellowship hall and afterwards had a wonderful breakfast. Our 10:30 worship service was also held in the fellowship hall, the reason being we had bee’s in the sanctuary.  We discovered them Saturday as we were preparing for our Sunday service.  God always makes a way when difficulty situation arrive.  He is the good Shepherd and He knows His own, share that story “Christ Has Risen”.

We go to Emory Hlth & Rehab Outreach Thursday 24th at 10:00 am and enjoy singing and fellowshipping with the wonderful folks at the center.

The Methodist Women have a trip planned on Friday the 25th to tour Methodist Children’s home in Waco.

AA Meetings on Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 pm and Saturday at noon.

Prayers for World Peace and those affected by disasters both here and around the world.

Have a wonderful week, choose joy and be kind.
