Emory Methodist Church News from Sunday
“Jesus answered them, It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Luke 5:32
Rev. Banks continued his series “The Word Goes Forth: message titled The Word Welcomes” with scripture text taken from Luke 5. The Pharisees complained to Jesus’ disciples about Him eating with tax collectors and sinners. Jesus welcomes the unrighteous and touched those that the law forbid touching. The Word went forth with arms wide open. Lord teach us to welcome as we have been welcomed, for You are the Word who welcomes all.
