Another wonderful day of worship with Rev. Banks message titled The Climb Up or Descent Down?, with scripture text taken from Matthew 17.  David spoke of a friend who has decided to climb mountains and stand on the peak, but he said it’s not the climb up, but when you start to descend is the most unsure time.  The  top of the mountain is never the final destination.  When you get to the top of the mountain you’re only half way there.  Our faith journey is not over once we encounter God’s transformative Love and Grace, it continues as we head down the mountain, back into the world, and share His Good News.

 

Coming up this week February 14th Ash Wednesday Service at 6:00 p.m.  Rev. Banks will also be doing imposition of ashes at 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in front of the church.  All are welcome to be a part of our imposition of ashes.

 

A.A. Meetings in the fellowship hall every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and on Saturdays at 12:00.

Such a sad last few days with the loss of love ones and so much happening in our weary world, but let us give our fears and anxiety to Him, knowing that He is with you every step of the way.
