“This is the first of His miraculous signs, Jesus performed in Cana in Galilee.  He thus revealed His glory, and His disciples put their faith in him.  John 2:11

Rev. Banks continued his series “The Theophany: with message titled Now That’s A Party and scripture text taken from John.  On the third day a wedding took place at Cana.  Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited.  Mary came to Jesus and told him they were out of wine.  Jesus replied Dear women why do you involve me?  My time has not come.  Without hesitation Mary tells the servants to do whatever Jesus tells them.  Like a good son, Jesus does what his Mother tells him.  When we are in need or when we know someone who’s encountering bad times just ask Jesus, His Spirit will release you of any fear and doubt.

The Methodist Women had our monthly lunch meeting after worship,  Jeri Humphrey provided us with a wonder stew and great dessert.
We had fourteen members which I think was good with the weather so cold.  We are planning our Valentine Party which will be February 15th in the fellowship hall at 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.  More information coming in the future.

Thursday 23rd we will go to the Emory Hlth. & Rehab. at 10:00 a.m. to sing and chat with the wonderful folks there.
